Fast tracking is a technique used to compress the duration of a project in order to deliver it faster or on time. This involves identifying activities that can be done in parallel, without mandatory dependencies.
For example, in one of our projects at Mighty, we started report development immediately after completing a small portion of the backend for a specific feature, instead of waiting for the entire backend to be completed. This allows us to start working on tasks in parallel and speeds up the project schedule.
However, fast tracking can sometimes lead to rework if there are changes in certain fields or other complications. It is a risky approach but can be effective in delivering projects faster due to increased communication and parallel work.
